I learned to ski in Southern Minnesota, and in the late 1980′s, this was the movie to watch — Greg Stump’s “The Blizzard of Ahhh’s.” In the world of ski movies (most of you’ve probably seen Warren Miller flicks on a Sunday on ESPN), this marked the beginning of the documentation of (what is now “so-called”) extreme skiing. For the uninitiated, this movie has an enormous cult following among skiers. With a soundtrack by the German techno-pop band “Act” (which later became “Propaganda”) and lots of neon, it’s pretty sweet. It also introduced Glen Plake, the world’s most recognized skier (he’s the guy with the mohawk), to the world. A little 5-minute ski zen for you on this snowy Friday. You can thank me later.

Where can i get a copy of the Blizzard of Aahhhs soundtrac or the song that is in this viedo? Thanks for your help. I think its the band ACT that sings the opening song
Hey Jeff,
Yes, Act has 4 songs in this movie (“Absolutely Immune” is the opening bit) and I found their CD “Laughter, Tears and Rage” online a while ago.
http://www.amazon.com/Laughter-Tears-Rage-Act/dp/B0000TCRY8
Also — the movie is tough to find by itself on DVD but is avail via Amazon in a 4-pack from Greg Stump:

Have fun!
What’s the reggae song played early in the movie?
