About 3 times a week, I hit Sam’s Deli for lunch. It’s just north of Belmont and California, and obviously Sam is the main guy who runs the place, and my ordering habits are becoming a curiosity (as they sometimes do) — when I find something I like in a specific restaurant, I rarely have something else. I love walking into a place and not having to order. Nothing revolutionary with that idea — but it takes time to stock that well. The other day, Sam was telling me about his store policy — if you get a sandwich there (such as roast beef on marble rye with yellow mustard only), and if you don’t like it for some reason, it’s free. He really believes in great service and the quality of his food and I highly recommend swinging by sometime. Avoid the after-school traffic, as it’s a hot spot for sodas and Skittles in the middle of the afternoon. Tell him I sent ya.
